Getting Started
  • If you want to add or change your school you will need to create an account by clicking on Sign Me Up!

  • No changes to your messaging setup? You don't have to do anything. If you need to make changes in the future, click here.


How to sign up for email notifications


  1. Visit our new site, click Here!

  2. You’ll be asked to provide your first and last name, an email address, and a password for your new account.

  3. Once you’ve provided the information, you will receive a confirmation message to the email address you provided.

  4. You will receive a confirmation email once you have completed this step. You must click the hyperlink provided in this email to confirm your email address and activate your account.



Establish Security Questions

  1. Use the pull-down menus to select a security question and provide the answer to the question in the field below.

  2. These will be used to verify your identity in case you need to reset your Password.



Enter Your Contact Information

  1. You do not need to enter information in the Address or Phone fields.

  2. Use the Add Email button to add email addresses or change your email.

  3. You can provide up to 10 email addresses.

  4. When you’re finished, click Continue.


Select Your Schools

  1. Use the checkboxes to subscribe to the notifications that are available on your screen.

  2. NOTE: In order to receive DISTRICT MESSAGES SUCH AS SCHOOL CLOSINGS, AND WEATHER DELAYS, you must check THE HANOVER COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS box which is first on the list. Simply checking a school(s) will not deliver these messages.

  3. You can subscribe to more than one school, however, you cannot opt-out of receiving Emergency Messages from the school(s).

  4. BE SURE TO CLICK "SAVE" at the bottom of the page so that your selections will activate.



Set Your Preferences

  1. The only preference available at this time is EMAIL.
